Dayton KOA, Ohio

Image
After an eventful day arrived at Dayton KOA at about 2:30. Left camp at 9Am heading for the Truck wash in New Paris Ohio, just off the I-70. Well not as easy as it sounds, serious wind made life difficult and to add insult to injury we sat in a 4 mile backup for  45 minutes because of road works on the Interstate.  The Truck wash did a great job and I can feel proud again about my RV. Two more nights and one journey back to Henry....

Crawfordsville KOA Indiana

Back at Crawfordsville KOA where we started on April 6. The weather has not favored us on this journey, we have had every kind of weather except sunny and warm. Not complaining though, it was an adventure to add to the many adventures we have made in this great RV. All things have an end though and so will this one. Planning to sell the RV now so we can embark on new projects and adventures. One more stop to come.

Nature's Way RV Park, Illinois

Arrived early at Nature's Way Park after a fairly short 140 Miles Journey. This used to be a KOA. Still a nice park. Our 3rd last stop on this journey.

Easy 135 Mile journey today, nothing much to report arrived at Madison Campground(was Madison KOA last time we were here), at about 1 pm. Will relax here for 2 days.

Hixton KOA, Wisconsin

Today we only did about 150 mile journey from Minniapolis KOA to Hixton, KOA.  The first part of the trip was along the very busy Interstate I694 through the twin citys Minneapolis and St Paul. Once we were back on the I94 things were less hectic. We remembered our journey from 2010 when we went the same way with Henry and Faye behind us but in pouring rain, lost comms on the walkie talkie but picked them up again when we got back on the I94. Miss our travel companions a lot.

Minneapolis North West KOA, Minnesota

Some pics of this prairy dog that entertained us yesterday at Wagner Campground and a shot down the main street of  Barnsville, today we moved on to the Minneapolist North Koa , 190 Miles away with a fairly solid side wind, not too bad though. Stopped on the way when we saw a Camping World since the RV developed a problem with a non return valve in the city water connection. Got the right part and fixed  it when we got to camp. Tomorrow is another rest day.

Took a bigger byte today, 216 Miles down the road, long way for me. Also stopped at a Walmart on the way so only got the campground at about 2:30. Typical Municipal campground, no staff, book on-line and only $30 night full hookup. Moving on to a KOA tomorrow.
